For the last few years we have had many happy customers to stay here. Most of them have been kind enough to leave reviews and comments for us on Airbnb. You can read all of them by following the link below but here are a few:

Beautiful spacious tents on a lovely shady hill, great views, great breakfast and a well equipped kitchen to cook the rest of your meals. Ben and Ana are dedicated hostst and know all the nice places around. Taking a massage by the osteopath that comes to the quinta is also very highly recommended.

We stayed at Ben’s cottage for a week in July with our 2 kids aged 9 and 11. The four of us loved the experience. The cottage is perfect. It is lovely and very well equipped and stays cool even if it is very hot outside. At home we played with games and outside we spent our time in short hiking in the Peneda-Gerês park and swimming in clear waterfalls. The surroundings are beautiful. Ben has been a welcoming host and the tom-tom he provided us was very usefull. We are thankful for this great holiday week.

Really lovely campsite in secluded valley, on outskirts of charming rural village. Ben makes a mean breakfast, every morning different, and lots of good advice as to where to go & great things organized for guests if they so wish (yoga, wine tasting, wild swimming, pizza night etc). Communal kitchen and eating a highlight, and good company of Lenny the dog and the sweet chorus of frogs in the pond. Good organic permaculture garden, and real sense of being part of local community.

Our time at Ben’s place was simply amazing…the tent was beautiful, the location so romantic, and Ben so kind! We had a lot of fun with him and Lennie, and the other guests! Pizza night, playing games together, sharing meals…the nature on and around the Quinta is stunning. I wish we could have stayed longer! But we will definitely come back, and then spend more time on Figo Verde…we completely tuned out and relaxed as the days passed…we want more of this feeling! By being so caring, Ben make sure that people feel at home and can let go of all of the stress in daily life. Ben, thank you for everything, lots of hugs from me and Sanne, we will be back!

We had a great time at Bens place and really enjoyed the beautiful atmosphere in the garden. The Tents are really nice with a comfortable bed and lots of space. Waking up with the view over the valley was just the perfect start on everey day, which was only becoming better with the delicious breakfast. Ben supplied us with really good tips for trips during the day, we saw lots of waterfalls, lakes, natural swimming pools and so on. For dinner he recommended a nice little restaurant with local food which was just exquisite and the well known pizza-night was another gourmet-tour. If you want to stay close to the Peneda-Gerès, choose this lovely place and let the magic happen!

A beautiful stay in nature; so green and lush. Ben was one of the most hospitable hosts I have ever met! The neighbourhood is so friendly – You will not be disappointed! and can’t forget lovely Larry (Lenny) the dog x

Our stay at Quinto do Figo Verde was one of the best holidays we’ve ever had. Ben (and his canine sidekick, Lenny) are fantastic hosts. Ben is always on hand with advice on places to go, information about the area, a funny story and a great personality. Our children were completely enamoured with Lenny, who was always willing to lay down and be pampered. The tents are beautifully decorated and arranged with all of the things that are needed. The kitchen, shared with other guests, is well-appointed and it, along with the outdoor dining/seating area, were the centre of lazy afternoons and wonderful evening meals. Ben’s ‘Pizza Night’ (with pizzas cooked in his hand-built wood-fired oven) was a definite highlight; as were the pancakes and passion fruit curd (passion fruit from Ben’s plants). Every morning, Ben makes breakfast and it is always a great way to start the day. Travelling with children can sometimes be a bit trying, but the range of things to do at Figo Verde, combined with the places to visit, meant that our children were seldom at a loss. Whether playing badminton, bouncing on the trampoline or sitting with Lenny, they were never bored. As a host, Ben goes out of his way to bring his guests together. Spending time with them at meals, over a coffee in the morning, or simply sitting for a chat, he made our stay (and that of the other guests) feel like we were staying with friends we’d known for years. In addition to all of the above, Ben is also passionate making Figo Verde into a beautiful, natural environment. His work on clearing and planting, while still in their infancy, is clearly going to result in a place of uncommon beauty. If you are looking for a special holiday in a natural setting, you need look no further than Quinto do Figo Verde. Thanks Ben (and Lenny)!!!

A lovely cottage in a great location with a friendly and helpful host. The house is bright and nicely decorated and had everything we needed, and our baby loved crawling around in the garden. The suggestions for restaurants etc were perfect. We had a great time. Highly recommended.
